Frequently asked questions
What documents are needed for society renewal?
Your original registration certificate, existing and proposed committee details, member KYC, and — if available — Society PAN, bank statement, and last 3 years activity/audit details.
What if our committee has changed?
We capture both the existing and the proposed committee and reflect the actual changes in the renewal documentation.
How many members are required?
A minimum of 7 members and up to 51, with President, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Members.
What if we do not have the Society PAN?
If the PAN is unavailable, we follow up on the Society PAN as part of the renewal — it is not required upfront.
Are the bank statement and audit reports mandatory?
No. Bank statement and last 3 years audit reports are provided if available; missing optional documents do not block the renewal intake.
What if the office is on rent?
If the registered office is rented, an Office Rent Agreement / Affidavit is prepared as applicable.
Who signs the renewal documents?
Documents are prepared from your information and sent to your committee for review and signature.
What happens if the authority raises a query?
We prepare and submit the reply and continue following up until it is resolved.
Do you provide a renewal certificate?
Yes — once approved, the renewal certificate is recorded and handed over to you.
Is the Utilization Certificate always required?
It is prepared based on your actual fund position; we never assume a fund status.
Can I track my renewal application?
Yes — your renewal progress is visible through your Sahaj Connect client portal where applicable.
